Here are some of my favorite marketing blogs. Over the past few years, I’ve learned so much from these people and organizations. Browse a few and see which ones might be right for you!
Thought Leaders
These folks are the big dogs. I’ve had the pleasure meeting some of them, reading their books, hearing them speak, but the most important things I’ve learned from them came from their amazing blogs. Enjoy!
He’s always a few years ahead of the curve, but his passion is sharing his knowledge and helping others succeed. Reading his blog has helped me learn how marketing can be truly human.
If you’re a numbers person and love charts and graphs, do NOT miss this man’s blog. You’ll also want to see some of his archived webinars at Hubspot like “The Science of Facebook” and more.
You might want to curl up with a cup of coffee and put your feet up to read this man’s blog. His posts are long, but thought-provoking and very much worth your time.
DJ is a Southern California native and social media expert who takes on issues of social media and church.
Mike Volpe is the VP of Marketing at Hubspot and co-hosts Hubspot TV every Friday at 4pm EST. He doesn’t post here often, but when he does, you don’t want to miss it!
Seth Godin is a legend. His posts are short. His books will change the way you look at life, work and especially marketing.
I got to meet Scott Stratten on his book tour for Unmarketing. When it came time for him to sign my book, I told him to keep fighting the good fight. That’s what he wrote on my book, which made my night. He said no one had ever said that to him before, which seemed strange. It’s a noble mission he’s taken on to get us to “stop marketing and start engaging!”
David Meerman Scott is kind of the “Godfather” of Inbound Marketing. His book, The New Rules of Marketing and PR, set the tone several years ago and he just keeps getting better.
Bernie Borges has an amazing podcast and blog that I really enjoy. I especially love his case studies. It’s amazing how many different kinds of companies benefit in so very many different ways when they make the switch from outbound to inbound.
John Jantsch writes about so much more than just marketing. He’s been one of my heroes for some time.
