Meet me on one of my favorite social networks.

Some I “inhabit” more than others, but if they made this list, I check into them once a week at the very least. I hope to meet you out there on several of them!

Basic Social Networking

	LinkedIn: Formal Business Attire Behave here as if you were at a business networking event. 1.5 million global users- most 35 and over with higher degree of education and income than most sites.
	Facebook: Business Casual (If you want to do business here.) 500 million active users, 70% outside of US. Student use dropping, but number of older users growing.
	Twitter: All Of The Above (& Below) Catching on with older adults who don’t use other networks. 75M Users around the world.

Sharing Specific Kinds Of Content

	SlideShare: Business Environment: Plugins available for  LinkedIn and Facebook. 1 million business users share documents, presentations, videos and other marketing materials, make presentations available to event attendees etc.
	YouTube: Anything Goes Environment World’s second-largest search engine. Create your own channel and use YouTube to share videos on your websites and social networking profiles.

Location-Based Networking For Your SmartPhone

	Foursquare Install the smart phone app and allow it to use your location. When you go to restaurants, movies, events, “check in” and earn badges. Maybe you’ll even become the mayor or get surprise rewards from vendors.
	Yelp! Yelp’s check-ins are now a part of their review site. You can earn rewards for checking in on Yelp too – instead of mayor, go royal.
